COBRA Administration Services and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP)
Legal, compliance and software teams are in the processes of updating software and processes to comply with the changes found in ARP.
The act mandates that the Department of Labor issue new model notices, which serve as the foundation for minimal language requirements from which final notices are then published. The DOL has been provided 30-days to act in this regard.
Once the new DOL letters are released, instructions and guidance will be finalized and issued to plan sponsors with active COBRA administration services with our office.
In the meantime, standard COBRA process are uninterrupted and to be followed; subsequent notices will be issued to update Qualified Beneficiaries, as necessary, when updates are applied.

Claim submission deadline dates preceding a closure date may be adjusted to one business day earlier to account for special Holiday schedules.
